Blaize is ONE!

My little Blaize turned one today.  He is such a handsome little guy and I wanted to capture his one year old cuteness.  So, as we headed out to run a few errands we stopped at a few parks to capture a few moments.

Photography isn't always a lot of fun... and in this moment he really didn't want to be in a bucket.

AHHH... one of my favorites!

So glad I captured his feet : )

In a few of the pictures you will see him looking off in the distance... this was one of the things that captured his attention.  These guys were actually going really fast!

I Workout!

I am part of a fabulous gym family at Crossfit St. George.  A few Saturday's ago they did a special workout in honor of one of our trainers John and his wife Belinda who are going to Houston for some medical treatments for Belinda.  I had the opportunity to document all the fun... some might call it pain.
It was definitely fun and interesting trying to capture the moment in an artistic way.

This if one of my favorites, I just love the symmetry of it.  And the lighting : )

This is John...

John's nickname at the gym is Underdog and someone made a great poster that said we'll miss you with this picture of Underdog.

This is Belinda sanding under the list of crazy movements that made up the WOD (workout of the day).
It was 100 reps of things like, lunges, push ups, and sit ups, etc... really, you don't want to know the whole list, it hurts just to read it.

Wesley's Senior Portraits : St. George UT

Meet Wes... he didn't want the traditional senior portraits and I am soo glad!  He has so much personality and really was willing to do anything... no, seriously you will see in a minute.
We started the shoot at his high school that I came to discover doesn't have a cool logo or emblem anywhere on their campus.  Just a sign for the school like it's a business?  When did that become popular?  I was a bit bummed about that part but we still had a great time venturing around the campus looking for interesting back rounds.

This was the closest thing we found to a fun logo.

Then we headed off to the river,  this was a great idea by Wes.

And he brought a good friend along.

This is one of my favorites.

We decided to splash around a bit...

Then I asked, "Hey, you want to jump in?" Now, you never know how people are going to respond to such a question and but it was worth it!  Wes was game even though the water was only a few inches deep.

His hair still looked great even after the jump... yes, ladies I know you are all jealous.

This session was so much fun and also chill,  I love when people just relax and be themselves.  It gives me so many more opportunities to capture them.

Thanks to Aimee (Wes' mom) for joining us with the fun : )
*As I was trying to get this pic of her on the shore she was running up that hill trying to get out of my shot!
