The benefit of photographing a family often is not only being able to see them grow and change together but also being able to try something new and different for a family session. Melissa is brave and adventurous as seen in her bikini maternity shoot, and this time she asked to do something different. We decided on doing the shoot in their home... lets start in the kitchen.
Here we have Ella practicing some cupcake decorating skills and some super awesome posing :).

Melissa has such an amazing smile and laugh.
This is pretty much what Ella did the entire time. By the end we could barely get her to take a bite of the cupcake... I think she was having a sugar overdose! Notice she has not one but 2 spoons.
Then we moved onto their fabulously, recently redecorated living room. I love the picture wall and not just because it features some of my previous work ; ) ; ). Should we play find the Pinterest ideas?

No, she didn't really punch him, but I think this picture is hilarious... almost like it's forecasting a future sibling rivalry.
Love Melissa's gorgeous hair! Recently after this session she chopped it off up to her chin. She looks amazing either way but I think it's great we captured it's amazingness here.
